Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
At Equipment Pty Ltd, we are committed to providing reliable and transparent shipping for our trailers, forklifts, shipping containers, and other equipment. This policy explains our order processing, delivery timeframes, delivery requirements, and what customers should expect after placing an order.
By purchasing from Equipment Pty Ltd, you agree to the shipping and delivery terms outlined below.
1. Free Shipping Within Australia
Equipment Pty Ltd offers FREE standard shipping and delivery within Australia on eligible orders.
Where standard shipping is included, customers will not be charged an additional delivery fee.
If a delivery requires a non-standard service due to exceptional site conditions, specialised placement, restricted access, or a customer-requested service outside our standard delivery arrangements, we will advise you of any additional cost before the service is arranged.
There will be no undisclosed shipping charges added after an order has been confirmed.
2. Order Processing
Orders are processed after payment has been successfully received and verified.
Before dispatch, our team may:
- Confirm the product and order details.
- Verify the delivery address and customer contact information.
- Inspect or prepare the equipment for dispatch where applicable.
- Coordinate transportation with the appropriate freight provider.
- Confirm any special delivery requirements.
Orders placed outside our normal business hours, on weekends, or on public holidays will generally begin processing on the next business day.
If additional information is required to process your order, our team will contact you using the details supplied during checkout.
3. Estimated Total Delivery Time
- Processing: 1–2 business days
- Transit: 2–3 business days
Estimated total delivery timeframe:
3 to 5 business days
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on distance, access conditions, and scheduling factors.
4. Australia-Wide Delivery
We deliver eligible products to customers throughout Australia.
Because we sell large and heavy equipment, different transportation methods may be used depending on the product.
These may include:
- Tilt-tray trucks.
- Flatbed trucks.
- Heavy-equipment transporters.
- Container transport vehicles.
- Other appropriate commercial freight services.
The appropriate delivery method will depend on the size and weight of the equipment, destination, and site conditions.
5. Large Equipment Delivery
Trailers, forklifts and shipping containers may require considerably more delivery space than ordinary parcels.
Before placing an order, customers should ensure that the nominated delivery location can safely accommodate the required delivery vehicle.
Depending on the equipment being delivered, suitable access may include:
- Adequate road access.
- Sufficient turning and manoeuvring space.
- A safe unloading area.
- A reasonably level and stable surface.
- Clearance from overhead power lines, trees, buildings and other obstructions.
If you are uncertain whether your property is suitable for delivery, please contact our team before placing your order.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order.
Before delivery, please ensure that:
- Your delivery address is correct.
- Your telephone number and email address are current.
- The delivery location is accessible.
- Obstacles that could prevent safe delivery have been removed.
- Appropriate unloading arrangements are available where required.
- Any required site permissions or local approvals have been obtained.
Equipment Pty Ltd is not responsible for delays resulting from incorrect customer information or unsuitable site access.
7. Delivery Scheduling
Where appropriate, our team or freight provider may contact you before delivery to confirm:
- Your delivery address.
- Delivery scheduling.
- Site access.
- Contact information.
- Any special unloading requirements.
Please ensure the telephone number supplied with your order is accurate so that you can be contacted if necessary.
8. Product Inspection Before Dispatch
Where practical, equipment is inspected before dispatch to confirm that it corresponds with the product and condition described at the time of sale.
For used equipment, normal signs of previous use may be present and do not necessarily constitute damage or a defect.
Customers should review product descriptions, photographs, specifications and condition information carefully before purchasing.
9. Receiving and Inspecting Your Delivery
Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Please check that:
- The correct product has been delivered.
- The quantity is correct.
- There is no obvious transportation damage.
- Major components are present where applicable.
If possible, visible transportation damage should also be noted with the delivery driver before the driver leaves.
10. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Deliveries
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or materially different from what you ordered, please contact Equipment Pty Ltd promptly.
For visible delivery-related issues, we recommend contacting us within 48 hours of delivery so that we can investigate with the freight provider as quickly as possible.
Please provide:
- Your full name.
- Order or invoice number.
- Delivery date.
- Description of the issue.
- Clear photographs or videos showing the product and any damage.
- Photographs of packaging where applicable.
We will review the matter and provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with our policies and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Failed Delivery Attempts
Additional costs may arise if delivery cannot be completed because of circumstances within the customer’s control, including:
- An incorrect delivery address.
- Restricted or unsafe site access.
- The customer or nominated representative being unavailable where attendance is required.
- Inadequate unloading arrangements.
- Failure to disclose relevant site restrictions.
If the freight provider charges us for redelivery, storage, waiting time, or another service resulting from these circumstances, we may require the applicable charge to be paid before delivery is rescheduled.
12. Delivery Delays
Although our expected shipping and delivery timeframe is 3–5 business days, occasional delays may occur.
Circumstances outside our reasonable control may include:
- Severe weather.
- Flooding or bushfires.
- Road closures.
- Transport disruptions.
- Carrier delays.
- Industrial action.
- Government restrictions.
- Natural disasters.
- Other force majeure events.
Where we become aware of a significant delay, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed.
13. Changes to a Delivery Address
If you need to change your delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible.
Address changes may be possible before dispatch. However, once equipment has entered the freight network, we cannot guarantee that the delivery address can be changed.
Any additional carrier costs resulting from a customer-requested address change after dispatch may be payable by the customer.
14. Risk and Delivery
Risk in the goods generally passes to the customer once the order has been successfully delivered to the nominated delivery location, subject to applicable Australian law.
If a customer independently arranges their own third-party carrier, different arrangements may apply and should be confirmed before collection.
15. Returns After Delivery
Shipping and delivery matters are separate from our return conditions.
Equipment Pty Ltd provides a 30-day return window for eligible products, subject to the conditions contained in our Refund & Returns Policy.
Approved change-of-mind returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and approved refunds are processed within 7 business days after the returned product has been received, inspected and approved.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy or our Refund & Returns Policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
16. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where goods are damaged, faulty, materially different from their description, or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees, customers may have rights to remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
