At Equipment Pty Ltd, we stand behind the quality of the products we supply. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage available for our equipment and outlines the process for making a warranty claim.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
1. Warranty Coverage
Unless otherwise stated on the product page or your invoice, all eligible products supplied by Equipment Pty Ltd are covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the date of delivery.
The warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship that occur under normal use and proper maintenance during the warranty period.
Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. What Is Covered
Subject to the terms of this policy, the warranty may cover:

- Defective doors, hinges, locking mechanisms or latching systems.
- Weather-resistant performance where applicable and advertised.

Where a valid warranty claim is approved, Equipment Pty Ltd will determine the most appropriate remedy.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect the operation or safety of the product.
- Accidental damage after delivery.
- Misuse, abuse, neglect or improper handling.
- Incorrect installation or assembly by the customer or a third party.
- Failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions.
- Exposure to fire, flooding, storms, corrosive chemicals or other environmental conditions beyond normal use.
- Unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications.
- Welding, cutting, painting or structural changes made after delivery.
- Installation of additional electrical, plumbing, insulation or other components not supplied or approved by Equipment Pty Ltd.
- Damage caused during transportation arranged by anyone other than Equipment Pty Ltd.
- Consumable parts that naturally wear through normal use.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty coverage, customers should:
- Inspect the product immediately upon delivery.
- Notify Equipment Pty Ltd of any visible damage or defects within 48 hours of receiving the product.
- Operate the product according to its intended purpose.
- Carry out normal maintenance where applicable.
- Avoid unauthorised repairs or modifications during the warranty period.
Failure to report delivery-related issues promptly may affect warranty eligibility.
5. Warranty Claims
If you believe your product has developed a fault covered by this warranty, please contact Equipment Pty Ltd as soon as possible.
To assist with your claim, please provide:
- Your order or invoice number.
- Your full contact details.
- A detailed description of the issue.
- Clear photographs or videos showing the defect.
- The delivery date and any relevant supporting information.
Our team may request additional information or arrange an inspection before determining the appropriate resolution.
6. Warranty Resolution
If a warranty claim is approved, Equipment Pty Ltd may, at its discretion and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law:
- Repair the product.
- Replace the defective product or component.
- Supply an equivalent replacement where available.
- Provide a partial refund where appropriate.
- Provide a full refund where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.
The remedy provided will depend on the nature of the defect and the requirements of Australian Consumer Law.
7. Warranty Limitations
This warranty applies only to defects that arise during normal and intended use of the product.
The warranty does not guarantee:
- Suitability for a particular application unless specifically agreed in writing before purchase.
- Performance after unauthorised modifications or conversions.
- Damage caused by improper storage, transportation or installation after delivery.
- Damage resulting from events beyond our reasonable control.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Warranty Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a product experiences a major failure, you may be entitled to a replacement, refund or compensation as provided under Australian Consumer Law.
